To Tan or Not to Tan

Hey guys.

One of the most frequent questions I get asked as a makeup artist is whether a bride should Tan or Not.

Everyone has there own preferances when it comes down to tan, Most are in favor of tan and some just down right say No. I have done makeup on girls who are pastey White and who have had to much tan. But wheres the middle ground on tan.

Alot of people choose to Tan. Not GTL like jersey shore But a natural tan. Again it depends on  your theme for your wedding. If your going for a vintage wedding its best to go for a very light tan or none at all. It also depends on your skin tone. For those blessed with irish red hair, sometimes its best to keep it natural on skin too. I have found that the best Spray tan look can be created if you spray tan a few day before the wedding. That way any mistakes can be corrected before the big day. So for a Saturday wedding get a spray tan on a wednesday or Thursday. And By all means Never Forget to exfoliate. If its bride having a tan done, always have a trial and make sure the same beautican will do it before the big day. I have encluded a list of tan essential below. 

I personally Didnt spray tan for my own wedding day but I did a few sunbeds before the wedding. Athough im not recommend sunbeds as we all know the damage prolonged usage can do to you skin, i did like the natural look it gave me. My skin felf radient and healthy and It cleared up few spots I had. I would suggest that if going down this root, make sure you dont get addicted and also as family and friends when your getting to dark. I would also suggest not doing any more sunbeds 2 prior to the big day.

Nails Are a HUGE fashion statement these days. And I love them. Even if you have no makeup on and are in comfys, You still look fab if you have your nails done. Rock these with a Top knot and your ready to go anywhere.

I partically love Shellac nails. But Gel are a secound favorite of mine. What colours are you rocking this season?

Makeup I did for a bride back i august. What you Guys think. I used MAC foundation in nc 35 as the bride had a Tan. I used syrup Lipstick for the Lips also by Mac. Individual eyelashes always look amazing, dont you think?

Hair was Done by Laila Valentino in Carrick-on-shannon.
